Last week, as I was at Riga Hotel School for a series of lectures on the topic of Conference and Banqueting, I had the opportunity to visit Easy Wine in old town Riga.
Whilst the idea of wine by the glass is not new, this restaurant, bar and store offers a relatively extensive choice of wines from France, Italy and the New World.
The concept is fairly simple : after being seated the waiter hands you out a magnetic card, with which you’ll choose your wine from the refrigerated displays located in the main dining room.
The interesting feature is that you have 3 different size options (tasting, 1/2 glass and full glass), quite convenient for multiple wine tasting without overspending and/or getting drunk! You can also purchase the whole bottle.
The menu is composed of salads, tapas and bruschettas, as well as cold meats and cheese boards.
All in all, a warm and friendly spot in the center of town, with good value for money, a nice selection of Food & Beverage products, and efficient service.
If your preference is with beer, stroll down the street and you’ll bump into Easy Wine’s little brother, “Easy Beer”
